Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LocalDraft AI desktop application and the website at localdraft.vakilbarak.com (together, the "Service"), operated by VakilBarak ("we", "us"). By downloading, purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LocalDraft AI is offline desktop software that helps you draft documents using an AI model that runs on your own computer. Templates, editing and export are available for free. The AI features require an active Pro subscription (a "license").

2. License

Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Pro features for the number of devices included in your plan. Your license key is issued to you and must not be shared, resold or published. We may revoke a license that is shared or used in breach of these Terms.

3. Free trial & free features

New installations may include a free trial of the AI features. Templates, document editing and export remain free of charge and are not gated behind a subscription.

4. Subscriptions, billing & renewals

• Prices are shown on our pricing page in Indian Rupees (INR) and may include applicable taxes.
• Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. By subscribing, you authorise us (through our payment gateway, Razorpay) to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account. On cancellation you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which it will not renew.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Not legal advice

LocalDraft AI is a drafting aid, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Documents generated by the Service may contain errors or omissions and must be reviewed by a qualified professional before use. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and suitability of any document you create with the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or to reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the software or license keys except as permitted by these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, templates and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. Documents you create with the Service belong to you.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at your registered place of business shall have jurisdiction, unless a mandatory law provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
